The brand-new ROALD AMUNDSEN is undoubtedly one of those new cruise ships which will be considered controversial by some, when it comes to its exterior design. Nonetheless was I convinced the seconds after I saw the first renderings of the new Hurtigruten ships several years ago; that this very bold futurist design from Rolls-Royce Marine was remarkable.
This morning I saw ROALD AMUNDSEN in real life for the first time, as she did her last Norwegian call in Florø on the premiere cruise, which ends in Hamburg Thursday.
As with music, movies and paintings, all good stuff tends to resist by the first encounter. And I think ROALD AMUNDSEN did exactly that this morning. She is The Ugly Duckling, which in design terms means that she has the potential to become a modern classic!
Hi,
I am a student of the University of Oulu and we are currently working on a project named as APP4SEA which will be an online and a mobile application to track all the vessels in the Northern Periphery and Arctic region. The project information and website is mentioned below for your reference.
Please find below the project information:

In this project, we require the photographs of the vessels and I found excellent photographs of the vessels when I was researching about the vessels, I found a publication from Syke on the vessels. I wanted to know if there is any possibilities for sharing the images with us. Below are the names of the vessels that we are working on.
